A visit between 0410 and 0610 hours:
56 Common Tern
3 Turtle Dove
1 Lesser Whitethroat
2 Garden Warbler
1 Willow Warbler
1 Chiffchaff
5 Reed Warbler
2 Ruddy Duck (m and f)
2 Drk Shoveler
2 Kingfisher
Oystercatchers on N island of the reserve have had 3 young.

Coningsby of note was 1 Jay, 1 Green Woodpecker and 1 Yellow Wagtail still regularly seen. No Cuckoo heard tonight. Have also viewed 2 Mallard Ducklings and a pair of Coot with 5 young.

Chris - I do try to make a contribution with the added drive of having my own mega to report one day!

Best time of the day though - no one for me to annoy or upset and the dawn chorus is always special!

Called in for an hour on the way back from Frampton
No sign of a mega or a bed for that matter.

Today there were
common tern 24
oystercatcher 2 with young 3
buzzard 1
pochard 4
reed warbler
green woodpecker
shelduck 7 in the area
ruddy duck 2 male and 1 female
grey heron
teal 2
