Highlight of the day was a Thrush Nightingale. Initially found at 0450hrs the bird was last seen at approx 1040hrs (to my knowledge) and was being typically elusive. A Golden Oriole was singing occasionally from 0720 to 0740hrs. Other migrants included 3 Tree Pipits, 2 Reed, 2 Sedge and 3 Garden Warblers and a trickle of hirundines and Swifts. James |
