Walked round Toft in pouring rain this morning:- 5 Common Sandpipers 1 1st summer Little Gull, briefly 9 adult Lesser Black-backed Gulls flew N 8 Black Terns lots of Swifts, Swallows and House Martins with Dean Eades. |

Between 2 pm and 3 pm maximum of 7 Black Terns and 8 "Comic" terns. When the clouds lifted the large number of Swifts and hirundines disappeared making counting the Terns much easier. Stuart Britton (and Rick Bennett who was already there). |

Prior to Stuart's arrival there had been at least 13 commic terns, some if not all being arctic. Also 5 common sand, plus 2 ringed plover and 8 dunlin which flew over. 2 yellow wags and 6 tree sparrow by the entrance and numerous yellowhammers in the nearby lanes. Cheers. Rick |
