This no doubt fine bird had gone before i arrived at 12.45,but other birds present today were as follows: At least 7 Black Tern(Although Keith Robinson had at least 10 before i arrived) 4 Arctic Tern 2 Common Tern 6 Common Sandpiper 2 Dunlin 1 Sum plum. Spotted Redshank, which quickly disappeared,no doubt realising how windy it was. ![]() 450 Swift 35 House Martin 50 Swallow 5 Sand Martin 1 1st summer Hobby(Watched chasing the Swifts and Hirundines and also sat on the east bank of the reservoir on the grass bank, giving cracking views through the scope). Stephen Routledge wrote: I see shortly after the Covenham bird had departed, there was one found in East Yorkshire. But according to RBA it was later turned into a Black Tern. The Covenham bird was unmistakable. |
