Post subject:  Black tern Deeping Lakes 13.5.09

5 black tern over the main lake - from the hide, right of the island. Feeding and drinking for a couple of hours this afternoon. Also common tern, and 40+ swift. Many warblers in the trees and bushes either side of the path to the hide - garden and willow seen, reed and blackcap definitely heard, others not recognised. Female buzzard over the Welland. Several damselflies around, and an orange tip butterfly. Wish the warblers were as easy to identify! Overcast but, as usual, worth a visit.
