i left gib around 14.30 hrs went to frampton where several people were speaking quite openly about the calandra being found the previous evening but suppressed and i said having just left gib that i thought this to be incorrect info but it just goes to show how rumours start and spread malicious info, unless they have more info than me ? :?

The bird was actually present the previous day, but only seen very briefly in flight to raise a suspicion of Calandra in very difficult viewing conditions. It was not followed up and therefore remarkable that it was encountered again the following morning 300m north.

A full account will be prepared in due course and anyone is welcome to read the circumstances.

thanks for that kev, its as i thought, i did not think it would be suppressed once a pos id was established, to put out a report that turns out to be bad info is just as bad, dammed if you do dammed if you don't. people whom have put out reports in good faith, made an honest mistake and then ridiculed and so you might lose good birds and time, keep up the good work and roll on the next time many thanks =D>
