A bit elusive. Spending a lot of time underwater. No sign of the mandarin duck. Very hazy making it virtually impossible to photograph

is the Long Tailed Duck on the big pit or the smaller one nearer Norton Disney?

Travelling past Thurlby Pit towards Norton Disney it is on the small pit on the left opposite the far larger one on the opposite of the road and hidden behind the high bank. It is probably private but you can view through gaps in the trees

Thanks Chris, i had a quick scan there yesterday unaware of the sighting as we'd been away in Islay for the week, just noticed some Tufties, coots and a GC grebe.

Long tailed duck and drake Mandarin present about 4pm.
