Completed last of the 12 month cycle for this sector for Rob Scott this morning. As per Saltfleet sector on Monday, muds were mainly dry, so no smaller waders. However:
Curlew 160+
Whimbrel 1
Redshank 210
Bar-tailed godwit 18
Greenshank 2
Litle egret 15
Guillemot 1 juvenile and 1 fresh dead juv. (Note that I had single fresh dead juv. at Saltfleet on Monday and also 1 at Brickyard Lane yesterday). Last year, there were similar numbers washed up and when I took a live bird to the Seal Sanctuary, there were 7 others already there that visitors had collected from the Mablethorpe beach.
Pink-footed goose 13>S
Gannet 1S but none feeding close to shore as per previous few days.

Osprey 1 on the rescue pole on the outer beach. It had a large fish and flew off with it south with a peregrine stooping at it the whole time, but the osprey took no notice of it whatever.

Meadow pipits and house martins, around 30 of each coming off the sea from Spurn region.

regards
Cliff
