The Lincolnshire Bird Club

I was of the opinion that this year the
early autumn would be flat and without excitement.
but not so.
Yesterday morning 10/09 I had a Lesser Whitethroat in the front garden
mixed hedgerow. A first EVER for the garden and certainly not a common summer visitor
to the Fens even on passage.
After enjoying the singing Blackcap last week I await
number three with some degree of
veiled anticipation or perhaps my period of euphoria is now actually
over for 2012!
You never know, September has from time to time produced
some interesting surprises.
