A Marsh Warbler was present at Donna Nook this morning in buckthorn and elder scrub just north of the northernmost flash at TF 437985. It was showing sporadically, but well at times, and singing furiously. Much mimicry was heard, and imitated species readily identifiable were Swallow, Whitethroat, Linnet and Chaffinch.

Other birds of note seen were 2 Corn Buntings, Marsh Harrier, Hobby, Turtle Dove and Spotted Flycatcher. The flycatcher was probably the bird that was present yesterday.

The Marsh Warbler was singing and showing fairly well in the same spot until at least 0830, but I was unable to locate it again nearer midday. Other birds of note today, 30th May, were at least 3 Turtle Doves, Marsh Harrier, Hobby, 3 Cuckoos, Spotted Flycatcher, Barn Owl and 2 Corn Buntings.
