Location: Market Rasen
A very noisy gathering of 14 Magpies in the field behind my Market Rasen bungalow this morning followed by a bigger party of 18 Long-tailed Tits foraging in the hawthorn hedge on my boundary. Both are the largest flocks I have seen here in 30 years.

A pair of magpies now seen regularly in the garden next door. First time we have seen any (still none in our garden) since moving to Louth town centre 5 years ago.

However, no long-tailed tits this winter, the first time we have not seen them for 5 years!
