SW pit notables:
Great White Egret from 1245 to 1345 but believe it may have left to the West after I left.
1 Great Crested Grebe
2 Little Grebes
2 Shelduck
1 Kestrel

At 1330 heard a Tawny Owl calling from around WSSG entrance.

S Pits:
1 Redshank
2 Egyptian Geese
8 Shoveler
1 Green Woodpecker
1 Great Crested Grebe
6 Lapwing

Reserve:
2 Egyptian Geese
12 Goldeneye
1 Kingfisher
1 Little Grebe
1 Great Crested Grebe
Also discussed a hybrid Scaup x Tufted with a kind couple from Sheffield.

Then went to the tip to view gulls - not a hope (for myself) in picking out Caspians but did check for Meds and Glaucs. c30 Greater Black-backed Gulls and c200 Herring Gulls on the slope visible from access road.
2 Green Sandpipers seen in flight with Alex P at 1530 hrs.

GWE on south west pit at 10a.m. today for 20 minutes. Flew off north west
1 European White front on the bank of the pit on the opposite side of the road.
1 kingfisher from Lincs trust hide.
Water level on Trust pit and Riverslea pit very high. No islands visible.
