I parked in the public car park in Tentercroft Street, Lincoln this morning (Sunday) 10.30 - 11.30 facing the two Rowans. Up to 3 Blackbirds and the occasional Starling visited but the Waxwing didn't show. :(

Perhaps it'll return later in the day.

Freddy ought to be knighted for his services to Waxwing observation!

Dean,
No, I didn't and on reflection I should have done.

I'll have another check around mid-afternoon. :)

Katherine,
.... "knighted"....that's kind of you to say so ; others have said, "committed". :D but, fortunately, that nearby facility closed down years ago.

I started off this afternoon checking McDonalds Car Park, Lincoln....but no berries left; then some Winter 2010/2011 stakeouts around the Outer Circle area incl. the Bishops Road/Proctors Road corner, UPS Deacons Road and Wrightsway (a few apples left) but nothing to report (NTR).

I spent another 30 minutes on Tentercroft Street 2.15-2.45 (incl.meeting up with Grahame H.)and also checked the Magistrates Court berry trees but again NTR. :(
All in all, something positive (and active) to do on usually boring old Sunday afternoon.

We seek him here
We seek him there
We seek him everywhere

The lone Waxwing is almost certainly still somewhere in Lincoln, chomping away at some lovely red berries......but where ?? Positive answers much appreciated. :D
