Highlights:
Smew - Redhead female on reedbed scrape. Pintail - never seen so many in one afternoon's birding. There must have been 100, easily! Golden Plover - probably close to 200 on scrapes. Very vocal. Fieldfare - at long last, my first of the winter! 10 birds or so in bushes. Brent Goose - approx 2000 birds grazing on grassland the other side of the road to the scrapes. Tree Sparrow - flock of 20 in bushes around the car park.
