The first of the season for me. A flock of about 120 across Nocton Fen settling at Wasps Nest this afternoon.

I saw 2 flocks this morning along the Witham at Woodhall: one of about 60 and the other 30 or so - both heading towards the Nocton area.

My first birds of the autumn were 7 in sloothby.
also later at 6pm(same location) was 5 red-leg partridge and short-eared owl.
