I've been parking on this piece of rough ground for years and never had any bother till now. As I drove along the bridleway from Messingham I noticed the farmer had placed large concrete blocks to the entrances of some of the fields, and as I drove over the brow of the hill someone had dumped loads of soil on the eastern side of the track where I normally park. At the bottom of the incline there were more concrete blocks blocking the fields. As I drove towards the motorway it never crossed my mind that the rough bit of track where I park would be out-of-bounds, at the entrance were four of the big blocks but obviously enough room for farm vechiles to get through. So I drove through and parked in my usual spot which is only ten yards fro the road. I'd been there quite a while and then realised a vehicle was along side me, I looked up and the farmer gave me the thumb sign to shift, I held up my bins hoping he would relent, but alas he gave me the thumb sign again and didn't look very happy, I couldn't believe it  I wasn't doing any harm, but I moved to the northern side of the bridge but it wasn't satisfactory so went to Black Bank again.

In the ten years I did surveys I hardly got any assistance from the farmers and now I don't do them I'm getting harrassed by them. Aye well, plenty more places to go.

Enjoyed my day out other than that.

Highlight was getting video of a water vole.

Regards

John :D
