One of my favourite birds, I love the way they hop about instead of walking and stretching themselves to be as tall as possible in the field. You can imagine my delight when I saw a pair of very fresh looking fieldfare just outside Sutton on the last day of June. To my knowledge they should have gone north a month earlier. Is it possible they can be breeding this far south in Britain?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
