Cuckoo 2 I was almost resigned to the fact that I would not record this species in or around the village in 2011, but yesterday afternoon was a real bonus!
The two birds spent about 15 minutes around the area of the overgrown allotments
where Sedge Warbler is currently breeding in small numbers which I assume may well be the intended fosterer.
The distinctive call was uttered by one bird whilst on the wing and the other made what I would describe as a water-bubbling chuckle so I assume this to have been a female.
