Expecting some rain i decided to spend some time in the hide at Fiskerton Fen
There was a fair selection of waders
greenshank 3
redshank 3
common sandpiper
green sandpiper 1
ringed plover 3
little ringed plover 1
lapwing c50
yellow wagtail 12 including one with a prominent grey head (race beema?)
white wagtail 1
pied watail
tufted duck 8
shelduck 8
teal 2
mallard
mote swan 32
hobby (a fly over)
little egret 1
grey heron 1
common tern 4
plus a herd of cows that tried their best to disturb the birds
