Generally quiet but saw / heard ....

Buzzard - 1 over
Grey Heron - 1 over
Curlew - 1 over
House Martin - 1 over
Whitethroat - 3 - 1 of these was rung
Garden Warbler - 1 - seen around the path leading to the hide
Cuckoo - 1 heard
Sedge Warbler - 5 seen & at least 5 more heard singing heads off in reed beds along Viking Way

Hi Steve

I think we passed you along the track this afternoon on our way back to the hide.

We saw 2 Wood Sandpipers and a Common Sandpiper from the hide. As we left the hide we could see you heading back that way and we assumed that you had already been to the hide - seems that you hadn't.

Hi Colin & Sheila,

Yes it was me and apologoes for not recognising you, it must have been your hat!! :)

I was in the hide at the beginning of my visit with no Sandpipers (of any variety) to report and when I was going home I was looking for the Garden Warbler when I noticed a sandpiper of some sort on the scrape, so I went back into the hide, but sadly it had gone.
