Another good day:

Worlaby Carrs:

8 Taiga Bean Geese(I must reiterate for those people visiting who don't understand, that you must not enter the farmland anywhere near to where the geese have been observed, this will only upset the local landowner and also make the said geese even more wary than they already are).
12 Common Buzzard(Viewable from the Carrs)
3 Marsh Harrier

Read's Island/South Farriby:

19 Whooper Swan
40 Pink-footed Geese

Barton Pits:

1 male Black Redstart(Differant bird to the W.edge bird, this one is an adult male instead of 1st summer male, around the Chowder ness farm, though elusive. Thanks to Andy Sharp for finding the bird and letting me know!).
1 male Firecrest(Target lake hedge,showing brilliantly)
3 Chiffchaff(Far-Ings)
1 Common Buzzard(South)

Regards

Steve.

Had a reliable first hand report from a local farmer that Barton quarry currently has a breeding pair of hairy-legged buzzards, 2 pairs of Eagle Owls and some of those parrots from down south. All sounds very credible to me especially as he said he lives next door to a twitcher.

In the same area I had an Australian woman ask me what I was looking at, when I said birds she replied, "BIRDS!!! where is there any birds around here?".
