Decided to get out in the sunshine for a few hours. Started at Carr Dyke but nothing, then drove to one of my fave places on the patch. I arrived at 14.30 and left at 18.20, only got out the car once to fill the feeders. Enjoyed two thick slices of plum bread [ I had made two weeks ago] with butter and a flask of tea. In total saw almost 30 species of bird plus Roe Deer later and a lame rat, no not me Sprawk - 1, Buzzard - 1, Kestrel - 1, Tufted Duck - 7, Lapwing - 6, Robin - 1, LTT - 2, Crow - 8, Pheasant - 8, Coal Tit - 1, Great Tit - 8, Mute Swan - 8, Mallard - 3, Chaffinch - 2, Coot - 1, Wood Pigeon - 65, Moorhen - 2 [one was lame and seemed not able to fly but was eating - got it on video], Grey Partridge - 3, Fieldfare - 156, Redwing - 2, GSW - 1, Oyk - 1, Blackbird - 7, Greylag - 21, Magpie - 1, Goldfinch - 2, Blue Tit - 6, Common Gull - 8.Kind regards John
