A very cold wind at Gib. Point today, 0800 till 12.

Best Birds, 4 Avocets
Siskins and Crossills in the conifers around the small car park, a great photo of a male crossbill taken on a mobile phone by 2 other birders.
remainder including,Teal, Wigeon, Shelduck, Shoveler, Curlew, Redshank, Lapwing, Sparrowhawk, M Thrush, Brent, 3 Stock Doves, Greylag Dabchick, Gadwall, Pochard.
Up to 18 Hares in the field opposite Tennyson hide.

A very enjoyable hot lunch helped warm us up.
The only down side to the morning was the number of dog walkers who were heavilly out numbered by the number of dogs.

I had reports of at least four crossbill here today. Finch movement has really started over the last couple of days. Richard Doan rcounted over 230 chaffinch moving though in the first couple of hours this morning.

Also, a woodlark in the East Dunes - per JPS.

There has been a black brant and 3 pale -beellied brent with up to 600 brent coming onto CRoftmasrh most days.

Cheers
