Good Day, All.

Had display flying Lapwing 23rd and starting to hold territories on 22nd with certainty.

First Curlew of the year prospecting 23rd.

Still good numbers of Fieldfare and Redwing (250-500 ish ) using the airfield lots in breeding plumage, 1st Pied wag for about 5 weeks today! but am alarmed at the lack of Linnets, not seen any on the airfield for about 4 months???

Large amounts of Woodpigeon in the area one flock!!!?? of between 7 & 10,000 today. Regularly, get flocks of 2,000 around the woods around the airfield.

Lapwing appearing in flocks of upto 500 ish, golden plover noticeable by there scarcity.

2 pairs of displaying Buzzard using 2 of 3 woods adjacent to the airfield and suspect the other as well.

No sign of LRP or RP we usually see a pr-ish of each prospecting around this time but no signs or reports so far.

Skylark singing and chasing regularly for a fortnight, but individuals singing off and on since the New Year.

Mpips very scarce.

Chaffinch/Great tit calling/singing for about a fortnight.

Regular Yellowhammer(8) and Corn bunting(20 ish) since the start of the year.

Tree sparrow no sign so far in the areas, I expect to find!

Song & Mistle thrush singing/calling and paired up for about a week but calling from the start of the month.
