Last time I went to Toft Newton it was completely frozen and birdless. Today I made the mistake of going when there was a slight breeze blowing. The waves were crashing about a foot high and the spray was clearing the far bank. You may think I was mad going there but there was one fisherman sat on the cold concrete. Now he was definitely crazy
