I saw no Waxwings this morning (Thu) in the Wickes/Wrights Way or the Bishops Rd/Proctors Rd areas (from 10.15), but I then found c.60 Waxwings perched/feeding opposite the UPS Depot on Deacon Road (10.30).

Regards,

Freddy

PS. It's now a week since I first located the Outer Circle Road area flock with c.75 Waxwings on Thu 27th Jan at the UPS Depot and the continuing good news is that there are still masses of berries remaining at that site.

On arrival at UPS Depot, Deacon Road this morning (Sun) at 10.25, there were 12 Waxwings perched in the Silver Birches with just 2 other birders around. On the 'circuit' I bumped 22 Waxwings perched outside the "Aga Shop" (Outer Circle Road, opposite Bishops Road), and they arrived back with me at UPS at 10.45.
They were still at UPS at 11.00, being watched by half a dozen other birders, when I left.

Regards,

Freddy

At least 35 waxwings in the UPS Depot area as I drove past at 08.40.

Cheers
Brian
