A mild and overcast afternoon at Messingham produced the following:

On the way around:
1 Great Spotted Woodpecker
c40-50 Siskin - single flock accompanied by a lone Goldfinch, feeding on Alder seeds.
2 Willow tit (seen together - not as part of mixed flock)
1 Goldcrest
2 Wren
1 Dunnock
5 Robin - most singing really well.
3 Blackbird
Large mixed flock Long Tailed tit, Blue Tit and Great tit

Wader hide:

9 Snipe (visible)
c130 Black Headed Gull
1 Whooper Swan
13 Mute Swan (Adult) 3 (Juvenile)
1 Greylag Goose
50 Lapwing (another flock of 40 seen over the fields in the direction of Grebe pond)
2 Shelduck
5 Shoveler
13 Pochard
4 Mallard
3 Teal
10 Moorhen
26 Coot
