A balmy day with redwings and grasshoppers confusing my seasonal balance.

sunshine turned trees into fireworks that don't fade and the cetti's sang.

I was drawn to Chowder as 2000 golden plover filled the air, flashing brightly as they wheeled and climbed. Something put them up but unfortunatly they came back down much further afield.

21 bar tailed godwit reamined amongst the redshank, dunlin and ringed plover and as I left a flock of 9 waxwing flew NW over my head.

I heard, but never managed to see, pink footed geese overhead and a mature male marsh harrier drifted over Ness Pit, dressed in sunlight and looking absolutely amazing.
