It was reported on RBA today being on Riverslea, but distant so he is still hanging around.

We went late this afternoon after seeing the report on Birdguides - arrived around 18h00. Difficult to pick out at first because it didn't show the white flash on the flank, but we eventually found the bird in question: with Tufties. Showed a typical peaked crown and a broad white band behind the black on the bill. Not sure what age/plumage it is - not full adult male because of the lack of the white flash - is it coming out of eclipse?

The Ring Necked Duck has moved to the hide pit.
Excellent views this afternoon (12/10) between 1500 & 1700 hrs, most of the time it was preening on the island immediately in front of the hide. at other times swimming & diving with the resident Tufted Ducks.

Best Wishes
Derek
