Having been laid up at home with a heavy cold I decided to take a short walk round the village. At 3.35 pm I was alerted by the distinctive croaking of a Raven and watched as the raven, presumably one of the Kirkby Underwood birds, noisily mobbed the resident Kestrel. All this only 400 yards from the rear of my property. Pity it was not a garden tick!

I also noted a few Skylarks flying South West.
