Decided to have an afternoon at my local sites.
Carr Dyke: 14.20 - 15.00
Moorhen - 18 including 8 juvs.
Kestrel - 2
Sprawk - 1j
Mallard - 3
Black Bank: 15.20 - 17.10
Swallow - 2
Kestrel - 2
Although birds were thin on the ground at both sites there was no lack of wildlife in general especially at BB.

PS: I was given a report that the Osprey had been seen during the morning flying along the Trent near Susworth by a birder whom I met while at BB.
