Osprey seen eating a fish in the usual dead tree at the River Trent end of Black Bank

MSQ - Quiet, best through the rain being
4 Green Sandpipers
1 Curlew
1 Common Sandpiper
1 GS Woodpecker
1 Juv Water Rail
13 Pied Wags - Adults & Juvs
250 Lapwings

went to gainsboro am,could have called in,have a peep tomorrow,seems to be a yearly stopping off point for this magnificient bird.

Yeah to be fair this is a bit of a cheat from me
I have been visting Black Bank on nice mornings after night shifts and remembered in July a post from last year whilst I was there one day and searched it to find the date;
Bird Guides had a sighting at Scotter at 09:40 on the 23rd, so off I went.

hard to tell from the photo -- is it certainly an adult? a juvenile male flew south-west at Alkborough on the 19th --

Seen in the morning apparently,ive been 3 times now including today for one hour and fifteen,from 3 pm to 4 15, must know when im coming the big thing.
