The star bird of the moment is undoubtedly the Semipalmated Sandpiper and it showed well though at a distance during the 4 hours I was there today through the rain & shine.
Here’s some other stuff that I can remember that has been neglected of late for your interest;
40+ Avocet 40+ Ruff 100++ Shelduck 4 Little Egret 5 Dunlin & 5 Ringed Plover with the afore mentioned SP Sandpiper 3 Greenshank Several Curlews – Seen / Heard 1 Male Marsh Harrier 1 Grey Heron Teal, Mallard, Eclipse Male Widgeon Grey Lags (Lots) Martins (Lots) didn’t notice any Swallows 10 Swifts through showed for only 5mins or so Never went down the Whitton end I may edit this when I find my very rough notes Missed the Wood Sandpiper
