Last year in my garden I had 2 bald Blackbirds one with a White head and one Black. This year next door has a bald headed Dunnock. Anyone have an explanation for this. Are they on Chemo?

This morning in my front garden was a female Blackbird with a bald head. Bald right over the head to beak level and around the sides of the head. Some grey light feather from the back of the head just covering the back of the head. I have only seen male blackbirds affected in this way before.
