Graham, that is truly shocking and Rob Robinson of the BTO deserves a medal for taking such unique and revelatory photos.

No criticism for the photographer getting too close to the rarity in those circumstances!

Perhaps the 'dyslexia' confusion arose thus :

If one logs on to the LBC Homepage and clicks the heading " Rare Bird News ", one is immediately directed to " Lincs Bird Reports " for entries. Dyslexia plays no part in that procedure.

Anyway, perhaps we can now put this particular controversy to bed and, should the Bonaparte's Gull or Ring-billed Gull show again, then one should add a new post to GPC's " Gulls at Barton " (- wef Thu 01 July.)

Regards,

Freddy

Hi all,
I think this sums up the above comments,
GPC,excellent birder with lots of time on his hands, but what amazingly no one has commented on is the fact that Graham arguebly lives and birdwatches in one of the very best areas to find rare birds!!in lincs,on the humber bank with huge areas of nature reserves, not too far from the coast.all power to his elbow-good luck to him,he does not seem to need luck, just as he told me once-hard work/graft,and he does work hard at it,i do too,but my patch msq,is not in the same leaque,
keep finding em gpc!!
Rog.
