Had an early start to get to the coast, I was up at five and picked my mate up at 0715. First port of call was Theddlethorpe [0900 - 0930 ] for the Shore Larks but no sign! As we were leaving the village had a pair of Sprawk. The following are the rest of sightings:

Rimac: 0950 - 11.00

Again very little about, Chiffchaff, Grey Heron, Mistle Thrush, Shelduck, Blue & Great Tits, Wren, Dunnock, Mute Swan - 17 going south, and Mallard.

Seaview: 11.10 - 11.40

Dunnock - 5, Blue Tit - 4, Buzzard - 1, Curlew - 3, Mipit - 5, LT Tit - 3, Shelduck - 2.

Paradise: 12.00 - 12.15 BEWARE the track is very bad.

Curlew - 1, Redshank - 5, Buzzard - 1, Kestrel - 1, Teal - 6, Shoveler - 2.

Saltfleet Haven: 12.20 - 12.50 Waste of time nothing there except a Roe Deer and 7 Redshank.

Grainthorpe Haven: 13.15 - 14.45. Much better here!

Little Egret - 11, Oyk - 2, Avocet - 2, Mipit - 11+, Stock Dove - 2, Pied Wag - 2, Shelduck - 7, Redshank - 5, Curlew - 2.

Called at MSQ on way home, arrived at 16.10 to watch for the Otters but they didn't show. Birds we saw are Reed Bunting - 5, Chiffchaff - 3, GC Grebe - 1pr, Song Thrush - 1, Oyk - 2, Tuftie - 5. We left at 18.00. It made for a very long day but an enjoyable one.

Kind regards

John
