I returned to Alkborough Flats this morning and just before 10.15 the White-tailed Eagle re-appeared,
I was alerted to its presence when the geese on Whitton Sands took to the wing. It circled over Whitton Sands and then drifted East over the edge of Alkborough Flats and was then lost to view behind the trees. I stayed in the area until just before noon but there was no further sign of it.

In case of possible confusion, I was viewing this morning from the Alkborough Maze.
When I lost sight of the White-tailed Eagle it was drifting in the Whitton direction.
Apparently, Roger Hebb and Barry Clarkson were at Whitton - about two miles away, and saw it again
about 25 minutes after I lost sight of it. See the separate report by Roger.

Roy.

Craig Nimick was confident that he saw a radio transmitter on its back when it flew
away from us on Wednesday evening, although there are no signs of it carrying wing tags.

Reported on Look North this early morning, that a White-tailed Eagle was seen at Top Hill Low yesterday, could be the same bird ? It was mobbed by 50 Black headed gulls and a Marsh Harrier according to the warden, so did not hang around,
Cheers, Mike Surr
