I too estimated a skein of c80 Pinkfeet just south of Baumber at 0815 this morning. What struck me about this skein was that it was flying at a greater altitude than normal and in a more westerly trajectory than is usual at this time of year when they tend to be northwesterly. May I suggest this was the same skein seen by Andy as the timing would be about right.
The first real spring day of the year sent the Buzzards into a soar this afternoon. 3 individuals were together in a thermal plus a sparrowhawk.

This morning from the garden saw a skein of c60 going north-west over the Trent Valley, oddly enough I could hear them.
