Good views of an Rough Legged Buzzard flying low along the length of Temple Wood viewed accross Hawthorpe Setaside at 12.15 today. A very pale bird with white rump/tail and black tail band clearly visible. Despite walking accross the setaside for another hour we failed to relocate it.
Supporting cast:- 2 Common Buzzards 1 Kestrel 13 Common Snipe 200 Fieldfare Skylarks Meadow Pipits
2 brown hares 180 Fallow Deer - the most I have seen in area.
Meanwhile the Common Buzzard that raided my bird table is currently visible from my back garden perched on a telegraph pole 100 yards away!
