08/10/09 - Frampton - Stonechat; Teal; Wigeon; Mute Swan; Little Grebe; Cormorant; Pintail; Scaup; Barn Owl
Shelduck; Kestrel - reedbed.
Jay - hedgerow.
Teal; Shelduck; Snipe; Wigeon; Lapwing; Kingfisher; Wheatear - scrapes.
Ringed Plover x3; Little Stint x3; Dunlin x14; Wigeon; Teal; Little Egret; Lapwing; Snipe; Grey Partridge - wet grassland.
Redshank; Curlew; Little Egret; Peregrine - saltmarsh.
Other - Weasel. (SW)

This is just a daily sighting from the marsh, without all individual species counted.

Steve, welcome to the Forum - previous discussion on this Forum has established that, for recording purposes, individual species totals are of far more value than a general list of just species seen. It is a much better, but basic, way of monitoring population dynamics in specific areas. Having said that, anything is better than nothing!

Thanks for the welcome, the list i get is from Simon Wilson from Frampton it is the list of birds seen at the Marsh through the day,
i would like too to see a count of the birds but i cant expect Simon to count the birds as he is working there, he does count the main species for me but the others are just what was seen and where.

Tree Sparrow - hedgerow.

Ringed Plover; Little Stint x3; Dunlin x12; Wigeon; Teal; Little Grebe; Curlew Sandpiper; Little Egret; Lapwing
Snipe; Grey Partridge x4; Hen Harrier (m) Wheatear; Red Bunting (large numbers in the ditches) - wet grassland.
Redshank; Curlew; Ruff; Greenshank; Merlin - saltmarsh.
