Very quietwith not much movement. Then after 1/2 an hour a Kingfisher landed on one of the posts in front of the hide and stayed for 5 mins. Got some shots but unfortunately the post wasn't as close as I'd hoped and even with 1000mm it still needs a fair bit of croppimg and sharpening. Let us be thankfull for Neatimage! Just after leaving, whilst walking down beside the dyke an immature Osprey flew low W along the S bank of the mere, just above the trees. It circled above the mere a few times then continued circling, going W at an ever increasing height. Bad luck my camera was in the bag - lens off! Others:
