A good day for coverage with full counts to be collated yest from various observers, but a notable increase in warbler activity; willows, whitethroats and lesser whitethroats. Four garden warblers (including 2 trapped ) is exceptional for July (albeit the last day of the month) and a wood warbler was found by Darren Matthews in scrub near the Wash Viewpoint - also wheatear here.
A green woodpecker was new in today and two curlew sandpiper on Jackson's Marsh (Craig Barber)
Good southerly movement of hirundines and swifts over last few days.
Cheers
