I knew that would get your attention! Whilst suffering a particularly bad round of golf, spirits were lifted when I heard only my second Nightingale in Willingham Woods in 27 years. The exact location is Dog Kennel Wood TF136880 in an area of birch scrub by a tributary of the River Rase.

Which spirits were lifted, Stuart? Could account for your poor round!

Seriously, I wish a Nightingale would visit the Torksey area - plenty of suitable habitat.

Regards............Richard..
