This morning, before the snow arrived:
1 female scaup still on the sugar beet factory pits. No sign of the long tailed duck.
Nocton fen. 2 little ows, 2 barn owls, 2 buzzards, 2 redshank, 70 mute swans, at least 10 hares, a female stonechat near Wasp's Nest.
Potterhanworth wood, 1 marsh tit, 1 female stonechat.
With Andy Sims.
On returning home, 7+ l.redpolls in my Skellingthorpe garden. First one seen mid December and the numbers have slowly risen as the bad weather has continued. Cheers. Rick
