Post subject:  BAT EVENT

Hi all, i am trying to promote an event for the younger generation to try and enthuse them about bats and their role in the ecosystem.

see below for details.

If anyone is interested or knows anybody that might be please do contact me.

and its FREE!!

Bat trapping and ID Event
at
Hill Holt Wood, near Norton Disney, Lincoln
Date Wednesday 16th August 2017.
From 6pm till 11pm approx.

We are looking to engage young people between the ages of 11 and 24 in this fascinating subject while helping them gain an insight into the lives of these nocturnal creatures.
Obviously for the younger age group a parent will be more than welcome to accompany their children,
This is part of our Growing Up Green project which is working towards engaging and empowering young people to work in and look after the natural environment.
This event is free and will begin with an informal chat and discussion with BBQ food and soft drinks followed by a short presentation on bat Ecology and then some Bat ID with detectors.
Then the most exciting part will be the chance to see, hopefully! some bats close-up after they have been caught by the professional Ecologists in Harp traps.
This event is limited to 20 people and is expected to be very popular so if you could please email Oliver Woodman, the Head of Operations, indicating your interest that would be great.
Oliver.woodman@hillholtwood.co.uk
Places will be reserved on a first come first served basis.
