At Saltfleetby Theddlethorpe N N R I have measured 142 mm of rainfall over the past 2 weeks, large areas of the meadows have been flooded on at least 2 occasions and the Great Eau has floooded the local overspill area twice, and on the floodings i noted 13 pairs of tufted duck and 11 pairs of mallard none with young, so all presumed to have been washed out and likewise probably many of the c 30 pairs of reed warblers as the reeds were 2 to 3 feet under water, curlews have increased from 48 on the 10 06 to 156 on 24 06, and i guess localskylarks, meadow pipits and other ground nesting birds will have been seriously affected. As i write this its still sluicing down, a Flushing June? John. |

Probably the way things will be from now on, with very dry winters and very wet summers. Climate change sucks. |

Lots of flooding in the low lying parts of Louth, I've never seen so many police and fire/rescue. It even gets a mention as I write on BBC News 24. I watched a woman and cockatiel being rescued from an upstairs window near the Coop which is flooded. I'll post a load of photos later on my Flickr site. Adi |

We've been lucky down here , not had a drop of rain all day ! Saw an amazing waterspout though East of Grantham, it must have been hundreds of feet high and lasted for around 15mins ! Trev |
