the last remaining GOLDEN EAGLE, the well known lake district male has soared his last. he has passed away leaving us alone without such magnificence. It is like ripping out the soul of the country not to witness such a bird in England. I remember seeing him and his old mate displaying and wheeling, talon clasping, stick swapping etc. what a terribly sad day.
