Does anyone have thought on the latest outbreak of bird flu which is alarmingly close to Lincolnshire?

It seems some are pointing the finger of blame at migrating swans or geese.

Personally I haven't seen any groggy looking brents or whoopers, and the pinkies overhead seem to be in good form - at least vocally

It is still early days, but I hope it doesn't lead to calls for a wild bird cull.

If wild birds are carriers they are more likely to be starlings.

The finger points, and always has in every outbreak, at birds being imported/exported from a factory breeding farm to another intensive farm. Wild birds are almost never implicated. In this case as far as I could see the ducks are kept inside

The type of fully enclosed huts these ducks are constrained in precludes any mixing with wild birds of any type (unless procedures are not followed). So direct infection bird-to-bird unlikely.

My clanger! I accidentally posted it in the wrong place and didn't know how/ where to relocate it. Glad it's been sorted - and thanks to everyone for their helpful responses.
