While on Black Bank spotted the above doing something I've never seen before, it got a nut flew to a branch then held the nut with one talon and then held it out and began pecking the nut. For those who know their behaviour could you tell me if this is usual? I've seen them in my garden with a nut between both talons pecking at it. It looked so odd with it's leg at right angles to it's body.
