Just lately it seems very few reports are coming in from North Lincs birders when I say North Lincs I mean Scunthorpe to Barton area including Worlaby etc! The only reason I can think of is that those who used to post now have blogs/websites. I for one rarely look at anyones blog or website unless I'm looking for something in particular, as an example if I was going to Barton area I'd have a peep at GPC's and if nothing of note I'd go just on the off chance.

Without naming names some of my pals go to places around my hometown and those above but most don't report their sightings on here for reasons which I understand. So it's not because no one is going out, although I rarely do now. Although I miss seeing the reports on the forum, one pal gives me updates when I ask for them, which I appreciate.

I remember some years ago some South Lincs birders were complaining that the North Lincs birders were hogging the limelight. Those involved referred to an area from Lincoln to the Humber. Both myself and other well known members told them there was nothing stopping them putting their reports on as well as us. I'm sure the birders who have been members eight years or more will remember this.

Before Roger jumps down my throat I know you put reports on here but not as often as in the past. Maybe I just happen to be looking when my area is on hols or ill. Apologies to those who live in Scunthorpe area and post their sightings, I must have missed them.

Kind regards

John/Max
